Asphalt 9 Car Upgrade

Asphalt 9: Legends – Car Upgrade Guide

Upgrades are one of the most important, if not challenging, elements in Asphalt 9: Legends. Playing the game without a proper upgrade roadmap will lead to slow career progression and unbalanced car collection. In other words, you will be left with fewer race options. Even worse is if you get stuck in the middle of a stage or season just because your vehicle is not powerful enough to compete. If you are lucky, you can escape from this scenario by grinding in the daily events board.

Nevertheless, being stuck in a season because of poor vehicle upgrades is also avoidable. With that said, we created a brief upgrade guide to help you with managing your upgrades properly.

Asphalt 9: Brief Upgrade Guide

The first thing new players should know is that Asphalt 9: Legends follows the same upgrade mechanics seen in other games. One similar mechanic is that each upgrade is more expensive than the last one. So without having a solid plan or a proper strategic approach, upgrades will eat up all your resources in a heartbeat, leaving you bankrupt at the early stages of the game.
So if you are new to Asphalt 9, it is highly recommended that you take some time to understand the basic structure of the upgrade system. Having an overview of how the upgrade mechanics work will help you get the most out of each upgrade and effectively manage your resources.

To avoid bankruptcy, you must always keep your eyes on the rank of your car when taking on a mission. Ranks in Asphalt 9 change colors depending on the level: green means that your vehicle meets or exceeds the requirement of the level. Orange indicates that your vehicle still passed the requirements but is already at the threshold. Lastly, red means that the attributes of your car are lower than what the level requires. Now, you can still participate in the race even if your rank is red. However, winning the level is a near-impossible task.

With that in mind, it is highly recommended for you to upgrade your car when your rank indicator turns orange. Doing this will ensure that your car is always on par with the other competitors. Do not rush your upgrades or have two cars upgraded at the same time since this will drain out all your resources.

Another thing is that you should focus your upgrades on the weaker attribute of your car. This will allow you to make the most out of the upgrade. Moreover, do not upgrade all the attributes at once, especially if your resources are just enough. Doing so will leave you with no funds in case of an emergency.

If ever you ran out of resources to spend, the best and the fastest way to earn is through the daily events. Daily events require tickets of which you will have a default of 10. You also need to have gas to participate in each of the featured events.

Additional Tips to Remember

Ultimately, upgrading in Asphalt 9 is just like any other game. You just need to have to manage your resources properly, and you should be able to maintain a steady progression and collect a decent number of cars in the game. That way, you can maximize your cars’ performance and you get to win more victories in the game. In addition, always remember the following:

  • Always check-in on daily events and participate in races available to you
  • Always check on the Legend Pass free card daily
  • Participate in limited time races in Daily Events
  • Participate in races in multiplayer races based on your rank
  • Join a club with active members to take advantage of free cards
  • Watch ads in the Shop
  • Complete your daily tasks
  • Enjoy the game!

With that said, if you are having a hard time keeping up or recognizing which event is available for you, all you need to do is look for the exclamation mark on the event card and make sure that there is no car icon at the bottom. A car icon at the bottom indicates that you do not have a vehicle that qualifies for the event.

Now that you have an overview on how to upgrade your car in Asphalt 9, it’s time to get back on the racetrack and become a racing legend!
