One of the most popular shooting game genres you can play right now is battle royale. It’s a survival shooting game where players are taken to an island where they battle it out until there’s only 1 player or group remaining. It’s a popular game genre because it combines elements of survival, teamwork, strategy, and shooting.

Players who are good at shooting and killing enemies won’t necessarily have an advantage in this game since the battleground is a huge island. Players will also begin the match without any weapons or gear, so they have to be quick at looking for weapons to survive.

Many titles offer a battle royale kind of gameplay, but one of the most well-known is the PUBG franchise. It’s the franchise that popularized the battle royale genre. With that, the franchise will soon introduce a new battle royale game and it will be titled PUBG: New State. It’s a futuristic battle royale that’s set in the year 2051, decades after the era of the current PUBG game. Let’s discuss in more detail what you need to know about this latest installment

What is PUBG: New State

PUBG: New State is a new and up-and-coming battle royale game that will join the PUBG franchise. What’s new and different about this game is that it’s set in the future. This means that the map layout, buildings, vehicles, weapons, and more will be futuristic. You can expect the gameplay to adjust as well because of these new features.

In this game, you can use drones or deployable shields. There would also be other futuristic weapons to be featured in this game. This will change how the game will be played, as players will have to adjust their strategies to incorporate these changes. In addition, there’s only 1 map revealed, and it’s going to be called Troi.

Explore The PUBG Lore

PUBG: New State will also dive deeper into the PUBG Universe. If you are not aware, yes, PUBG has lore. You can learn more about it on its official website, where it dives deeper into the backstory of characters, items, and events. You don’t necessarily need to know the PUBG lore to be able to play properly. But it’s a great way to learn more about the game and have a deeper understanding of the PUBG Universe.

But with PUBG: New State, players will now have a chance to learn more about the lore. It will likely be incorporated more in the game, so the gameplay might be affected by the lore and backstories of each character or location.

Other Changes Expected in PUBG: New State

Aside from having a futuristic setting, and the likely inclusion of PUBG lore, PUBG: New State will also shake things up in terms of in-game customization options. In existing PUBG titles, you cannot modify the weapons you pick up, but that will change with this new game. What this means is that you don’t have to just modify your weapons while in the lobby. You can modify it during gameplay when you’re battling on the island. This is a great addition, as it means you don’t have to wait for the game to end to make changes to your weapons.

It’s also worth noting that PUBG: New State is developed by PUBG Studio, the one who developed the original PUBG game. This is different from PUBG Mobile, as this is developed by the Chinese tech giant, Tencent.
PUBG: New State – Release Date

PUBG: New State is currently available for pre-order. You can visit the official website of the game to pre-order it. Though no specific release date was given yet, the game is believed to be launched sometime in 2021. It may even be available this coming April.

As for the price of the game, there isn’t any information provided either. But it is believed to be available for free, similar to PUBG Mobile.
