What is Dark Stories, & How Do You Play It?

Dark Stories is a digital guessing game that mixes 20 Questions, Cards Against Humanity and Cluedo. Generally, this game requires at least 2 players and a maximum of 6. While the game doesn’t have hands-on gameplay, it provides all the answers you need to play the game. Here’s how:

First, a chosen player must choose a card from a deck. The player will then read the story but he won’t be saying it out loud. Once the player has read the story, he will start the clock up to 2 minutes. Within those minutes, the other players must ask questions one by one. Since this is a mystery-solving game, questions must include detective questions like “Is he dead?” “What was the victim’s work?” or “Is the suspect a woman?” The player who knows the story must reply with “Yes”, “No” or “Irrelevant”. Once the timer is up, each player must guess what the general story is. The chosen player who reads the story will then judge if the guesser’s answer closely resembles the actual story. Anyone who guessed it gets a point. If nobody did, then nobody gets a score. First to 5 wins the whole game.
