Domination (risk & strategy) Gameplay

The risk is a board game that revolves around conquering your foes. Each turn, you will place a number of troops depending on the number of map sections you conquered. Needless to say, players with larger territories can accumulate troops faster.

You can conquer more territories in Domination (risk & strategy) by attacking them. But before you go, ala-Napoleon Bonaparte, make sure that you have the SUPERIOR number. While the number does not guarantee victory or defeat, it is a good way to mitigate the chances of losing.

Combat is resolved by having up to three troops face each other in a dice-rolling contest. That is, you will roll a die for your piece and your opponent will roll one for his. The lower number loses his troop. If you manage to eliminate all of your opponent’s troop in the area you are attacking, then it will become yours.

If you manage to capture at least one territory per turn, you will draw a card from the deck. Cards have four different types – troops, cavalry, artillery, and wildcard. By trading three cards of the same type, you will be able to field more troops. Hence, turtling is not a valid strategy in Risk unless you want to become a sitting duck.
