The game revolves around collecting resources by mining them. To mine these resources, you have to repeatedly swipe across the resource blocks. Each swipe will inflict the resource with damage that is equal to your current DPS. As you collect resources, you can upgrade your hero and your companions.

In the beginning, you are a lone hero who will dig your way through chunks of peace-loving inanimate blocks. The more you progress, the more companions will join you in your cause. More resource types will also become available as well. Surely, you’ll be screaming “Holy mother of nature” as you alter the local terrain.

Kidding aside, I do believe that Idle Crafting Empire for PC will give you endless hours of fun, especially if you love unlocking more stuff as time passes by. Tons of power-ups and companions await your adventure. These unlockables provide a sense of progression which plays a vital role in the entertainment provided by incremental clickers. Or in this case, incremental swiper.

Ad offers will appear every now and then, but rest assured that your 30 seconds ad-watching will not go unrewarded. Watching ads will provide you with bonuses like double damage or double resources gained while you were away.

There are also a variety of skills that will allow more ways to quickly dispose of blocks that impede your progress. My personal favorite is the TNT, a seemingly Minecraft easter egg that blows resources into smithereens. Unfortunately, the 5-minute cooldown of the skill won’t let me bomb my way ala-RA2’s Crazy Ivan. Which is of course not a deal breaker.

The kid-oriented art of Idle Crafting Empire is an awesome sight to behold. Somehow, the cute and cuddly art style recuperates the stress tolerance I consumed playing hardcore games. The thematically appropriate BGM complements the art. I even plugged my laptop into our full-blown speaker set-up just to enjoy the music even if I’m AFK.

Ultimately, the features of Idle Crafting Empire for PC spotlessly combine into a glorious idle game appropriate for people of all creed and ages.
