Call of Duty Mobile has a lot of intense moments no matter what game mode you choose. It’s a fast-paced game that has quite a low skill ceiling, but that doesn’t mean you’ll never get overwhelmed by the more experienced players. CoDM’s discipline is just like any other CoD game (pre-Modern Warfare 2019) — you run, you shoot, you win. But, that’s all easier said than done. In this guide, we’ll show you the dos and don’ts of playing to win in CoDM.
Choose Your Favorite Gun & Stick to It
A lot of players in Call of Duty Mobile will follow the current meta of certain weapons. But for us, just stick with what you want and what you think you are good at. If you think you can carry games with an AK, stick with it. If you can rack up the most kills with an M4, go with it all the time. But if you can manage to have better chances with a submachine gun or even a shotgun, then just focus on that. After all, it’s not the meta that counts; it’s how you use the weapon.
Pick the Right Perks
Some perks may work naturally with your gun, others will not. It all depends on your playstyle and which gun you choose. If you ever want to go guns blazing, surprising enemies with your presence, and getting killstreaks with just hip-fire, Lightweight, Agile, and Vulture are the best perks. It goes hand in hand with SMGs, shotguns, or full auto-rifles. If you like being stealthy, the recommended perks are Ghost, Dead Silence, and Hard-wired.
Make sure to read all the perks before you choose them. If you want the best results, just mix and match the perks initially, test them out in the matches, and then sort out the ones that you think are the best for your playstyle.
Know Your Stances
Standing, crouching, and going prone may also become a case of life and death in Call of Duty Mobile. Crouch and prone stances will always help you in shooting more accurately since the crosshairs are narrower but will put you in a sitting duck position. Meanwhile, standing and running may make you the most mobile. However, do not be surprised if the enemy can kill you in one go.
When to Hip-fire & When to ADS
Hip-firing is only good if you are a frag type that likes to rush on enemies. However, hip-firing is best when you are using a shotgun or an SMG. But when using ADS, you may want to have a specific line of sight. It’s only best to use it when you are within medium or long-range versus an enemy you found.
Kills Are Not Everything in Call of Duty Mobile
Remember that you do not need to lead in kills if you want to win games in certain modes like Search and Destroy, Capture the Flag, and Domination. What matters in these are objectives. Even if you are not stacking up on enemy kill, you can always make up more points in objective capturing. They even reward more points than just roaming around killing opponents.
Remember, objectives first; kills second.
Bring a Friend Along
Sometimes, two heads are always better than one. In the case of Call of Duty Mobile, your friend can help you carry games, especially if he or she is a long-time CoD player. This applies to both the standard modes and the Battle Royale mode.
No friends to invite? You can always invite the players you just met in the previous matches. At some point, you will even befriend them naturally (but we’re not here to lecture you on how to make friends online).
Watch YouTube Videos or Storm Through Social Media
Being good in Call of Duty Mobile is something, but you’d be surprised by how much the CoD community can do. A lot of them show off their amazing game highlights, while others love to share their ideas and recommended perks to anybody who reads their posts.
These players will give you ideas on the best tips and tricks in the game. You might even scoop up some mind-blowing skills that you never thought were possible in Call of Duty Mobile.
Above All, Just Keep on Playing for Experience
Not every game guide is realistic in its content. But for us, we will be completely honest with you: just play the game however you want. The more you play the game, the more experience you gain. At some point, you will develop in-game skills naturally as time keeps moving forward. This applies not just in Call of Duty Mobile but to other games as well.
However, there is a certain skill level in CoDM that can only be described as extensive. Sure, it may not have the same high skill ceiling as Siege, or CSGO, but the fact that this F2P portable game has many things to offer with potential competitive gameplay makes it worth investing your time over it.
Now that you’ve learned all these tips and you want to give this game a shot, make sure to play Call of Duty Mobile on PC today!
