Different Roles in Pokémon UNITE
As mentioned earlier, the Pokémon in Pokémon UNITE will play certain roles in the game. This is similar to most MOBA games out there. The 5 roles that each Pokémon will play in this MOBA are All-Rounder, Attacker, Defender, Speedster, and Supporter. The all-rounder is the balanced Pokémon in the game. They have good offense and endurance, allowing them to play supporting roles when needed. The attackers are the Pokémon that can deal heavy damage.
They are the offensive Pokémon, but they do have low endurance, so they’re basically glass canon. The defenders are like the tanks in the game. They have low offense but very high endurance. Their role is to protect teammates from attacks by absorbing the damage. They’re usually placed at the front during battles.
On the other hand, the speedsters have high offense and mobility, which makes them good options for taking down wild Pokémon and scoring goals. They’re the ones who can likely help your team win. The support Pokémon are the ones who have the ability to heal and buff teammates while also providing debuff. If used properly, they can help turn the tides of battle.

They Best All-Rounder in Pokémon UNITE
For the all-rounder Pokémon, there are currently 4 of them available. This list will likely grow further as the developers come out with more. But for now, you’ll have four of them to choose from and the best one available is Lucario. What’s great about him is that he has high mobility, along with good offense and endurance. This allows the Pokémon to be a good option for defeating wild Pokémon and scoring goals. If you don’t have Lucario, Machamp is a strong alternative with his high offensive stat while having decent stat all-around except for support. Other Pokémon with the all-around role are Garchomp and Charizard.
Best Defender in Pokémon UNITE
There are currently 5 defender Pokémons in this MOBA with the best one being Blastoise. He may seem weak at first, but once his Surf is learned and his Unite Move accessed, he becomes a beast defender. This is because of his crowd control (CC) capabilities, making him the best CC defender available. Snorlax is a good alternative in case you don’t have Blastoise available. His Block and Yawn ability will make it easier for your team to invade a goal.
The other defenders in the game are Crustle, Mamoswine, and Slowbro. They’re not as powerful as the two Pokémon above them, but they’re also not weak. All defenders are actually useful in the game, so choosing which one to use won’t really be an issue.
Best Attackers in Pokémon UNITE
The attacker is the role that has many options in Pokémon UNITE since there are 8 Pokémon available. The best one among them though is Cramorant. He has a very high offense and his skill set makes him a very unstoppable Pokémon. But there is a steep learning curve, which means constant practice is needed. But once you master him, you’ll be hard to stop. If you don’t want the steep learning curve, then a good alternative is Pikachu.
He is very easy to use and has long-range attacks as well as the ability to stun. He does lack the AoE damage but 1-on-1, he is a beast. Sylveon is also a good alternative and is a more balanced attacker with good scoring and support stats as well. Other attackers are Alolan Ninetails, Cinderace, Gardevoir, Greninja, and Venusaur.
Best Speedster in Pokémon UNITE
For the speedsters, there are 4 of them available and Zeraora is your best option here. His Unite Move and Plasma Gale make him a deadly Pokémon. It deals tons of damage to enemies caught within it while also providing the Pokémon with a boost on the basic attack. Not only is Zeraora good at killing wild Pokémon, but also takes out enemy Pokémon as well.
Absol is a good alternative to use for the speedster role. His moves like Psycho Cut and Sucker Punch make him the master of critical hits. This means he can also deal tons of damage both to enemies and wild Pokémon. Other speedster Pokémon are Talonflame and Gengar.
Best Support in Pokémon UNITE
The last role would be the support Pokémon and there are also 4 of them. The best one among them is Blissey, as this is the best healer in the game. Aside from its healing abilities, this Pokémon can also boost damage, making it great during team fights. A good alternative is Wigglytuff, especially if you prefer a support Pokémon that debuffs. This Pokémon has the ability to stun and put enemies to sleep, which can be very helpful in clashes. Other supporting Pokémon are Mr. Mime and Eldegoss.
