Azur Lane has been one of the most updated side-scrolling shoot-em-up games in the free-to-play market. Nevertheless, the surge of updates and events slowed down in 2020, mostly because of the pandemic. Now that disappointing year is behind us; it seems the game’s developer YoStar has a lot of catching up to do. With that in mind, let’s take a quick look at the ongoing and upcoming events on this acclaimed tactical RPG title. Do take note that the details below come from the recent information published for the game.
Azur Lane Ongoing Events
Despite the lack of significant updates in 2020, the regular events scheduled for Azur Lane were still very active. The events or shall we say mini-events feature weekly missions with specific quests. There are three ongoing events currently taking place in the game. The first two called Empyreal Tragicomedy Rerun and Empyreal Presage – Phase II are reruns of the same name’s previous events.
Empyreal Presage
Phase II features event-specific missions that reward players with training points. You can exchange a specific number of training points for the Insignia of Glory portrait.
Empyreal Tragicomedy Rerun is also a point accumulation event. The main difference is that Empyreal Tragicomedy Rerun takes place in multiple maps and features more ships and a couple of new ones. Both events kicked off on January 21, 2021, and will end on February 3, 2021.
A third Event Operation Siren
Hiryuu META is also taking place in the game. Operation Siren is a new game mode that will allow players to create fleets for control of the North Atlantic Ocean. The event also features new resources that you can use to craft new materials through the Gear Lab. Operation Siren – Hiryuu META kicked off last year on December 22, 2020, and will conclude on March 18, 2021
