If you’re a big fan of the anime series, My Hero Academia, then this fun action RPG is something that you’ll enjoy playing. It’s titled My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero, an action RPG published by Sony Pictures Television. From the title itself, the game is based on the popular anime series. It will follow the story a bit in the beginning, but then it will also tell a story that’s independent of the anime and manga.
What’s great about this game is that you get to use many of the popular My Hero Academia (MHA) characters. That’s right, you can experience using the various quirks that your favorite MHA character has during battle. You can experience what it’s like to do the United States of Smash from All Might and Deku. You can also try out Shoto Todoroki’s Flashfreeze Heatwave or Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall.
It’s a fun experience. And what’s more, you can also use MHA’s villains, so you can also experience using their quirks in battles. But are all the MHA characters playable in My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero? And who among them is the best hero to use? Let’s discuss all of these things in this blog post.
The Characters that are Currently Available to Play
My Hero Academia has many different and iconic characters in the series, and that includes both villains and heroes. They’re what makes the series very exciting and entertaining to watch. Sadly, not all of them will be available to play in My Hero Academia: The Strongest Heroーor at least not yet. This is not new since many games that are based on popular anime won’t usually feature all of the characters in the series.
There are currently 19 playable characters available in this action RPG. For the heroes, there’s All Might, Izuku Midoriya, Ochaco Uraraka, Shoto Todoroki, Eijiro Kirishima, Denki Kaminari, Katsuki Bakugo, Momo Yaoyorozu, and Shota Aizawa. There’s also Fumikage Tokoyami, Tenya Iida, Minoru Mineta, Tsuyu Asui, Endeavor, and Mashirao Ojiro. For the villains, there’s Stain, Tomura Shigaraki, Dabi, and Himiko Toga. The hero, Backdraft, is also in the game, but only for missions.
You can see that there are many notable characters that are still missing like Mina Ashido, Present Mic, and many more. There are also other characters that make an appearance in the game, but they’re not playable yet. This includes heroes like Mt. Lady, Kamui Woods, Gran Torino, and many more. The same goes for villains like Kurogiri, Giant Villain, Nomu, and others, who also made their appearance.
Don’t be disappointed if there are certain characters that are not yet available. The great thing about this game is that the developers continue to update it. This would include releasing new characters for players to acquire and use in battle. So, you just have to keep on playing and wait for updates and new character releases.
The Best Character in My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero
Despite having limited characters available to use, that’s still a lot to choose from when you’re composing your 3-hero team. During the battle, especially the story mode, each of your heroes will do a 1-on-1 battle against the opponent. This means that each hero should be able to stand on their own to do well. This is where having the best heroes will come in handy. Sure, you can upgrade and develop good heroes to make them strong.
But that will still fall short if you compare it to an already top-tier hero that’s also fully developed. This is why it’s also important to know who are the current strong characters in the game. For this list, we’ll separate the best characters for the player-vs-environment (PvE) mode and player-vs-player (PvP) mode. Not all characters are created equal, as some of them will do well in certain environments or situations.
PvE Mode
For the PvE, the S-tier characters are Endeavour, Eijiro Kirishima, Izuku Midoriya, Shoto Todoroki, and All Might. They’re the characters that will help you progress easily, especially if you develop them properly. The great thing here is that Izuku Midoriya and Eijiro Kirishima are two characters that you will start with. So, you’ll only need 1 more to complete the strong team. For the A-tiers, there’s Shota Aizawa, Stain, Denki Kaminari, Katsuki Bakugo, Mashirao Ojiro, and Fumikage Tokoyami.
The A-tier characters are good alternatives in case you don’t have any of the S-tiers yet. The A-tiers can also be used to form a second team to replace your main team when there’s a need to. The other characters can still be used, but S and A tiers should be your focus.
PvP Mode
For the PvP, the S-tier would be Shota Aizawa, All Might, and Fumikage Tokoyami. They’re the characters that will help you do well in the player-vs-player battles. They should be your priority when forming a PvP team. For the A-tiers, there’s Endeavor, Eijiro Kirishima, Izuku Midoriya, Shoto Todoroki, and Stain. They’re also good characters that can help you win many battles in PvP. They’re not as good as the S-tiers, but they’re still capable of dominating a match.
Final Thoughts
My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero is an awesome action RPG where you get to control and play many of your favorite MHA characters. Although the game doesn’t have all of the characters yet, you’ll still enjoy playing with the current ones on the roster. And if you’re having a hard time selecting who to use and develop, just check the tier list provided in this blog to guide you.
